Wireless networks are the fastest growing computer technology. Deploying a wireless network can be as easy as plugging in an access port. However, proper deployment requires knowledge of both networking and radio technologies. Proper design can provide assurance that the radio signals reach where they are needed and don't reach they are not wanted.
This instructor-led class provides an introduction to wireless technologies. You'll learn the foundation of wireless terminology, technologies, standards and protocols, and how to install, manage, and support wireless networks.
This study of wireless networking combines radio frequency (RF) and local area networking (LAN) technology fundamentals. It begins with the basic concepts and building blocks of the convergence between RF and networking technologies. Through the use of real, hands-on training with wireless site survey tools and administration tools, you'll learn wireless technology standards, governing bodies, hardware, RF math, RF behavior, security, troubleshooting, and site survey methodology.
